My name is Dakota Allen and I was born and raised in Macon County. I grew up in Franklin, NC where I attended Franklin High School. From there I went on to Western Carolina University in pursuit of my bachelor's degree in biology. After seeing a number of my own family members and friends enter the healthcare field and how they were able to make an impact into people's everyday lives I decided to enter the field of pharmacy. Upon graduation from WCU I went on to pursue my doctorate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while attending their satellite campus in Asheville. Right after graduation I started my career at Kmart pharmacy in Waynesville before progressing on to Kim's Pharmacy. In my free time I love to be doing something outdoors and it's very likely you can find me on the creek or the lake.
